AI search for HVAC companies with more than one location
When a homeowner asks ChatGPT or Google’s AI Mode who to call about a failed air conditioner, the answer names a few companies. DIAP Media works with HVAC companies that run several locations, and with the groups that own them, to be among those names. One location costs $800 per month. Three cost $2,000.

What Google showed for two HVAC searches on 11 October 2026
A customer’s search and an owner’s search behaved differently. The customer’s search showed a map and no AI Overview. The owner’s search showed an AI Overview, and its sources changed inside three minutes.
| Search | AI Overview shown | What the page drew on |
|---|---|---|
| “best hvac company in phoenix” | No. A map pack and Local Services Ads led the page. Checked at 19:47 UTC. | Under the map: HVAC companies’ own sites, the Better Business Bureau, Yelp and a trade forum. |
| “ai seo for hvac companies” | Yes, with 8 sources. Checked at 19:47 UTC. | Agency sites, LinkedIn and a software vendor. Lifted Websites, a DIAP Media brand, was one of the eight. |
| “ai seo for hvac companies” | Yes, with 8 sources, on a second look. Checked at 19:50 UTC. | A different eight: YouTube, LinkedIn and six agency sites. Lifted Websites was not among them. |
One limit to know: on this day the “who do I call” search was decided by the map, which is local SEO work. The AI answered the questions around it. One on the same page was “What is the $5000 rule for HVAC?”. Sources change from one check to the next, and nobody can guarantee a citation. How DIAP Media measures AI search
What changes when an HVAC company has several locations
One office is one Google Business Profile and one set of pages. Several offices are several of each, and they have to agree with one another. Four things decide whether a search engine or an AI engine reads them as one company.
One profile for each staffed office
Google’s Business Profile guidelines say a service-area business should have one profile for the central office or location with a designated service area. An HVAC company with three staffed offices has three profiles. It does not get one for every city its trucks reach.
A page for each office that fits no other office
Each location page names that office’s service area, its phone line and the work it does most. If the city name can be swapped and the page still reads true, the page is a template. DIAP Media retired its own pages of that kind in October 2026 and rebuilt each one, this page included.
One name, or a clear family of names
A group that buys a local HVAC company has to decide whether the old name stays. To an AI engine each name is a separate company until the sites, the profiles and the listings say who owns it. DIAP Media manages the same question for its own brands.
One report across every location
Map results, organic results and AI citations are recorded for each location every month, side by side, so a weak office is visible in the same table as a strong one.
How many HVAC contractors there are
The US Census Bureau counts heating and air-conditioning contractors together with plumbers, as one industry. These are its 2023 figures for employer establishments.
| United States | 111,207 establishments, with 1,214,761 employees |
|---|---|
| Arizona | 2,567 establishments |
| Maricopa County | 1,604 establishments |
| Pima County | 346 establishments |
| New Jersey | 3,454 establishments |
Industry: plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning contractors (NAICS 238220). Source: US Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023, table CB2300CBP, read on 11 October 2026. The Census counts establishments with paid employees, so a one-person company with no payroll is not in these figures.
Which DIAP Media brand fits an HVAC company
DIAP Media owns several agency brands. All of them charge the same published prices, so the choice is about fit.

HVAC search questions
What is AI SEO for an HVAC company?
AI SEO for an HVAC company is the work of getting the company named in answers from Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. It rests on accurate Google Business Profiles, location pages an engine can quote, and the reviews and listings those engines read.
Do AI Overviews show for HVAC searches?
For some. On 11 October 2026, a search for “best hvac company in phoenix” showed a map pack and no AI Overview, while related questions on the same page were answered by Google’s AI. Results change from one check to the next.
How much does SEO cost for an HVAC company with several locations?
At DIAP Media, Multi-Local Plus costs $2,000 per month for up to three Google Business Profiles, and each additional profile is $800 per month. Four locations cost $2,800, six cost $4,400 and ten cost $7,600. Prices are as of October 2026.
Does each HVAC location need its own Google Business Profile?
Each staffed office does. Google’s guidelines say a service-area business should have one profile for the central office or location with a designated service area, and they do not allow more than one profile per location.
How long does it take to see results?
Local and multi-location SEO usually shows its first measurable movement in 60 to 90 days and meaningful results in 3 to 6 months. AI search results usually take 2 to 4 months. These are expectations, not guarantees.
Is this the same service as Lifted Websites’ HVAC SEO?
It is the same company and the same price sheet. Lifted Websites is DIAP Media’s local SEO brand and is built for the single-location contractor. DIAP Media takes companies with several locations and the groups that own them.
