What a Scottsdale company’s website needs so AI engines can read it
DIAP Media rebuilt its own website in October 2026, from its office on Camelback Road in Scottsdale. This page is the checklist that rebuild was held to. A site that passes it can be read and quoted by Google’s AI, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Website design and builds are done by Lifted Websites, DIAP Media’s web design brand.

Seven things the site has to get right
None of them is about how the site looks. All of them decide whether a search engine or an AI engine can use what the site says.
| Requirement | Why it matters | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| The text is in the HTML | A crawler reads the HTML the server sends. Words that only appear after a script runs may never be read. | View the page source and search for a sentence from the page. |
| The page is indexed | Google says a page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet to support an AI Overview or AI Mode answer. It names no additional technical requirement. | URL Inspection in Google Search Console. |
| Crawlers can get in | Each AI engine sends its own crawler, and a firewall can refuse it even when robots.txt allows it. | The seven crawler checks |
| One question per section | An engine lifts a passage. A section that answers its own heading can be lifted whole. | Read each heading and the sentence under it on their own. |
| Prices, address and phone are text | Facts inside an image, a slider or a map embed are not reliably read. | Try to select and copy them on the page. |
| One organization, stated once | The legal name, the founding year and the address appear the same way on every page. Google says structured data must be a true representation of the page. | Compare the footer, the About page and the Google Business Profile. |
| Every page has an author and a date | An answer engine prefers a source it can attribute and date. | Look for both at the top of the page. |

What DIAP Media changed on its own site
The site this page sits on was rebuilt to that list in October 2026. Four changes show what the list means in practice.
Prices in plain text
Every commercial page now states its price in a sentence and links to one pricing page. Before the rebuild, no price appeared anywhere on the site.
The company named in full
The legal name, Digital Internet Advertising Properties, LLC, and the year it was formed, 2006, are now on the site, with every brand it owns listed.
Sources and dates on every fact
Each figure links to the page it came from and says when it was read. Pages that shared one block of text were rebuilt one at a time.
Layouts that hold on a phone
Every page was tested from 320 pixels wide up to desktop, with tables that stack and nothing that scrolls sideways.
What Google showed for two web design searches
The local search showed a map and no AI Overview. The search about AI did show one.
| Search | AI Overview shown | What the page drew on |
|---|---|---|
| “web design scottsdale” | No. A map pack led the page. Checked at 19:49 UTC. | Under the map: Scottsdale design studios’ own sites and Thumbtack. |
| “website design for ai search” | Yes, with 7 sources. Checked at 19:49 UTC. | YouTube, agency sites and a website builder’s help centre. |
| “website design for ai search” | Yes, with 8 sources, on a second look. Checked at 19:51 UTC. | YouTube, six agency sites and a trade publication. |
One limit to know: AI Overviews appear and disappear from one check to the next, and their sources change each time. Being cited is measured over many runs of the same questions, and nobody can guarantee it. How DIAP Media measures AI search

Website questions
How much does a website cost in Scottsdale?
Lifted Websites, DIAP Media’s web design brand, publishes its prices: a website plan costs $200 per month for up to 20 pages or $500 for up to 50, with nothing upfront. A one-time build costs $2,400 or $6,000, plus $99 per month for hosting after launch. Prices are as of October 2026.
Does a website need special files to appear in AI answers?
No. Google says no new machine-readable files, AI text files or special schema are needed to appear in its AI features. The page has to be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet.
Does DIAP Media build websites?
Websites are designed and built under the Lifted Websites brand, which belongs to the same company and works from the same Scottsdale office. DIAP Media checks sites for AI search and does the search work.
Will a redesign hurt rankings?
It can if URLs change without redirects. Pages that earn search traffic should keep their addresses, and any retired page should redirect to its closest match and never to the homepage. Measure the same figures before the launch and at 14, 30 and 90 days after.
Is a website still worth it now that AI answers questions?
Yes. Google says its AI answers are supported by pages in its index, so the website is where the facts an AI engine quotes have to live. A business with no readable site leaves those facts to directories and other people’s pages.
