North Jersey has no single official boundary. This page uses the 13 counties served by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, the region’s transportation planning body. The first four rows are the authority’s own figures, which it does not date. The last three are US Census Bureau figures for three of those counties.

The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority counts 10 commuter rail lines with 150 stations across its 13 counties, plus two light rail lines and the PATH service. It calls the region’s port the largest container port on the East Coast and the second largest in the United States.
New Jersey’s business portal names life sciences, information technology, financial services, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and transportation and logistics. The state does not split those industries by region.
On 23 October 2026 the AI Overview for “ai seo north jersey” drew on nine sources. The six it listed included LinkedIn and northjersey.com, a news site, beside four business sites.
This part is DIAP Media’s reading. Three of the 13 counties alone held more than 65,000 employer establishments in 2023, so an AI engine asked for a North Jersey firm is choosing a few names from a very large field. The firms it picks are the ones that state their county, their towns and their specialty in plain text, the same way on their own site, their Google Business Profile and the news and directory pages the engine reads.
