Google just provided a great post about online reputation management and giving some great tips on how to get that “negative” link or that embarrassing photo to no longer show in the search results or push it deep withing the search result pages where most don’t continue to search. Since we provide online reputation management for our clients and are in the process of building a solution and options to help defend your reputation we feel good about Google agreeing that this is an element of search that can be tackled.
Online reputation management doesn’t have to be reactive either. We actually tell our clients to be proactive and allow us to help get a lot of great, positive content, press releases, blogs, profiles, and reviews out on Google and the search engines so if something bad ever does pop up the good will outweigh the bad.
Online reputation management is another aspect of internet marketing, online branding, and winning on the web whether you are a person looking to land your next job, a new product being launched, a brand, or a company looking to build their reputation online in a positive light.
If you need help and would like us to monitor your online reputation or help you get rid of the a “rip off report”, or some negative links online for you please connect with us to discuss our reputation management options.

I can say I’m surprised that Google did this. Maybe today they give green light for online reputationmanagement and tomorrow they will give this green light for promoting business. I hope this second thing won’t happen, because I’m sure it will be a real jungle on the Internet. Anyway I think there should be a law over the internet for those that are trying internet defamation actions…..because after such actions the online reputation is needed.
